Description

Welding Instructions:

Thoroughly clean the area you’re about to weld by brushing the base with stainless steel brush until it become shiny. Then evenly heat the area to be welded. As you heat, rub the rod vigorously against the heated area until the rod starts flowing.

Caution: Never apply heat directly to rod as it will crumb, and if you manage to melt the rod directly, the weld will be easily breakable. Remember, melting the rod directly is a wrong way, and makes crumby welds.

I didn’t believe this product can help me, but I had a very expensive A/C condenser to fix. The only way was replacing it. However, I considered I’ll save big if this works, I decided to give it a try. The risk saved me BIG. Instead of spending 4 digits on a new condenser, I only spent for 30 bucks, and still have 9 rods to go. Thank you guys, you really offered a SIMPLE SOLUTION to a BIG problem. God bless!

It takes a little practice cause you can’t tell the temp like you can brazing steel, but once you figure it out, it works like a charm! I Recommend!!!

As long as you file and have a good clean area this beats the flux in my opinion. I’ve used on pontoons, ATV engine blocks, boat shifter that was pop metal and that was a keyed groove that stripped.

I bought some of this, and love it, I’ve repaired wheels on our ATV’s and they are holding up to the beating, they was cracked from the edge past the bead hump

I have been welding and brazing for over 60 years. My first project with these aluminum rods was a difficult one. I needed to repair my corner frame brace and it consisted of welding a threaded flange to a very thin bracket. Getting the metal to the proper temp was a challenge at first. I saw the demo welding this rod on a piece of threaded rod and simply turning the rod out of the weld. It works. In a matter of minutes I was able to get a feel of proper temp for both pieces and the weld was complete. The first one looked like a Dobby wasp did it but got better on the second weld. I have several other tasks to do and know it will work for me. Don’t give up, try different methods.
